This exercise strengthens the quadriceps by lifting the foot while a towel is placed under the knee.

Instructions

  1. 1Place a ball or rolled towel under your knee.
  2. 2Slowly straighten your knee while lifting your foot.
  3. 3Hold for a moment at the top.
  4. 4Lower back down slowly.
  5. 5Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Programming Recommendations

We recommend performing 3 sets of 10 repetitions, once or twice daily unless directed otherwise by your healthcare provider.
